Introduction by Sr. Marita Haarmann OSB (Prioress)

In the name of the Missionary Benedictine Sisters of Tutzing, to whom the Roman Catholic Hospital is entrusted by the Arch-diocese of Windhoek, I would like to thank God for the 100 years where He leads us in His grace to serve and care for the sick and our personnel.

The hospital developed from a small building with 6 to 8 beds in different stages to an institute with 80 beds  fully equipped with different modern facilities like Intensive Care Unit, four (4) theatres, X-Ray department and Casualty.

I would like to thank all my fellow Sisters, all the Doctors and our Personnel for their love, service, loyalty and cooperation.

Special thanks is given to our patients for their trust. May God continue to bless them all!

Allow me to share with you a word of our Pope Benedict XVI, which expresses the beauty of our Christian life:

“Only where God is seen does life truly begin. Only when we meet the living God in Christ do we know what life is. We are not some cacual and meaningless products of evolution. Each is willed, each is loved, each is necessary. There is nothing more beautiful than to be surprised by the Gospel, by the encounter of Christ. There is nothing more beautiful than to know Him and to speak to others of our friendship with Him!”

Pope Benedict XVI
