Medical Imaging, Roman Catholic Hospital branch offers a world class diagnostic radiology service, using multiple modalities.  These include MRI, CT, Screening, Mammography, Ultrasound and X-Ray services, utilising state of the art equipment which include a 1.5T MRI machine, 128 slice dual source CT (one of only three in Southern Africa) and stereotactic DR Mammography.  The clinic is fully digitalized and allows for images and reports to be made available to the referring physicians electronically.

 To ensure a fast turnaround and a sound base for reporting, 11 radiologists rotate through the branch with sub-specialisation in areas such as cardiac imaging, musculoskeletal imaging, breast imaging and prostate imaging.  While not in the branch, these radiologists can assist with reporting of complex cases owing to access to images through the centralized PACS (picture archiving and communications system) infrastructure.  In addition to radiologists, Medical Imaging also permanently employs 7 sonographers and 35 radiographers that work at the branch on a rotational basis.
